The situation resulting from two years of pandemic has greatly complicated the development of the planned tasks provided for the Smart Rehabilitation 3.0 Project, within the framework of the Erasmus + program. We cannot forget that one of the main objectives is the creation of international synergies between universities and the rehabilitation and restoration sector, and mobility is essential.
Working online has made it difficult, but in the last quarter of 2021 we have been able to organize two courses, one in Palermo and the other one in Lithuania, through which we have strengthened links between partners to advance the planned goals. In the next few months the planned courses will be held in Barcelona and Cyprus. In addition, progress is being made in the development of four MOOCs (open online courses) focusing on different aspects of rehabilitation. Finally, two databases have been created, one for innovative products for rehabilitation and the other for innovative works. Both will soon be accessible to all professionals and students interested in specializing in the rehabilitation and restoration of buildings.
To the Project Advisory Committee (made up of institutions, industry organizations, university professors and renowned professionals), specialized companies have also been added, such as Lafarge-Holcim, Knauf Miret and Ursa Ibérica Aislantes and manufacturers’ associations like Hispalyt. These will provide useful experiences and information for databases and in the development of future MOOCs.
