Seven proposals have been received from the members of the association to apply for Rehabimed 2021 Grants, aimed at promoting urban regeneration and sustainable rehabilitation within the framework of development cooperation.
The Evaluation Commission has valued the great interest of the different proposals and the disparity of themes and objectives they raised. But given the budget limitation available, funding for all the projects presented was deemed unfeasible.
Finally, it has been decided to split the aid only between two initiatives:
- A 7,000 euro grant for the Historic housing proposal. Warm Home presented by Khaldun Bashra (RIWAQ) as it is a project clearly linked to the revaluation of heritage with a high social content that can contribute to improving the quality and living conditions of the Palestinian population.
- -A 3,000 euro grant for the Traditional architecture with woman’s hand. Archive of traditional construction techniques linked to the skills of women in housing by Montserrat Villaverde and Ana Chust. In this case, the interest of the proposal as a project to be linked to the activities of the Association stands out. The Commission considers that it would be interesting to carry out a preliminary work to define objectives and methodology. The amount of the subsidy is intended for this previous work.
