Corpus

 

CORPUS is an observatory of traditional Mediterranean architecture. It constitutes a comprehensive study of the construction methods, processes of transformation, their effects on a disrupted landscape, the permanence of living traditions and the determination to preserve a shared heritage in a common space that is both real and mythical.

HANDBOOK FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION OF TRADITIONAL SYRIAN ARCHITECTURE

This booklet presents traditional Syrian architecture: a broad range of architectural typologies and construction techniques spread over a large, complex territory. Traditional architecture is here envisioned both as transmissible heritage and real estate. Its maintenance and its rehabilitation are essential, as is broad-based legislation. Diagnosis prior to rehabilitation is also presented as a guide for experts.
