The second fortnight of October 2005 sees the organization in San Sebastian de la Gomera (La Gomera, Spain) of Restoration of Traditional Architecture in the Context of Garajonay National Park, organized by the Autonomous National Parks Body of the Spanish Ministry of the Environment. This meeting sets out to convey to participants the need for and the means to preserve, recover and design an architectural typology for the settlements around the National Park in keeping with architectural and landscape heritage. This June sees the fourth Competition for the Rehabilitation and Conservation of Vineyard Constructions, organized by the Governing Board of the 'Denominació d'Origen' of Pla de Bages (Spain). Pla del B ages is a Catalan region famed for the quality of its vineyards. This year, prizes will also be awarded to dry-stone constructions such as irrigation and wine deposits and walls.
